FABRIC CARE

Printed Fabric

Do not use any kind of fabric pens or markers of any kind to grid this fabric.  If you do so it is entirely at your own risk & its recommended to do a patch test first.

Do not iron directly onto the front printed side of the fabric.  Use a tea towel or similar between the fabric & the iron or iron face down.

We do not recommend washing your printed aida at all. If you must, please use a very gentle hand wash with NO DETERGENT. If washing cannot be avoided, please adhere to the manufacturer guidelines below to reduce risk of mishaps.

  • Place your fabric in a bowl of warm (not hot) water a single piece at a time.

  • Allow the fabric to soak for as long as required, gently patting, do not rub or scrub the fabric or use any abrasive tools.

  • Never wring the fabric, lay it flat on an absorbent surface (like a towel) & roll the towel up squeezing gently to absorb excess water.

  • Unroll and lay the fabric flat until totally dry.

  • When fully dry, lay the fabric stitched design side down on a clean tea towel and iron on the reverse side only.

  • If you must use a detergent, use non bio detergent only & test on a small area first. Ensure fabric is rinsed thoroughly to remove all traces of detergent.

If you attempt to wash the fabric, even via the above guidelines & subsequently your fabric or your completed stitched design is damaged in any way, we take no responsibility.  The guidelines are provided to try & limit the risk of mishaps should you really need to wash the fabric, but our primary recommendation is always not to attempt washing your printed fabric. You do so at your own risk.

Hand Dyed Fabric

Do not use any kind of fabric pens or markers of any kind to grid on hand dyed fabrics.

Do not iron directly onto the fabric.  Use a tea towel or similar between the fabric & the iron & iron face down.

We do not recommend washing hand dyed fabrics The coloured pigments & dyes used are chemically 'set' according to manufacturer guidelines & fabrics are repeatedly rinsed until they run clear as part of the finishing process, we cannot however guarantee that they will be colourfast. Some dye particles may remain no matter how carefully we rinse.  If you choose to attempt to washing it is entirely at your own risk.
